I'm yet to recoup money spent on Ije- Chineze Anyaene

*Chineze Anyaene
Ije: The Journey  has become a household name in the Nigerian box office. The film which was first shot in 2010, made unexpected impression. However, the brain behind the movie, Chinie Anyaene has yet to recoup the money used to produce the movie.
"I have not recouped the money I spent on producing the film. But I hope to do so very soon. I made more money from cinema in Nigeria because the percentage was considerable compared to what I was getting in London and America and even in some parts of Africa. I know that with streaming online and DVD, I will surely recoup my investment."
Keep doing a good job, Nigerian producers

Nigeria, is there hope?

After the tiresome match with Zambia at the Mhobela stadium, South Africa, we ended up with a 1-1 draw.
Is there still hope for Nigeria in qulaifying?

Pele's statue to be unveiled in Maracana...

Pele
Yeah.  A life size, bronze statue in honor of Brazilian Football legend, Pele is to be unveiled in June this year at the opening of the Maracana Stadium in Rio.
Renowned Brazilian sculptor Ique is currently putting the finishing touches to the 300-kilogram (660 pound) statue, based on photographs of a goal Pele scored in Brazil’s 4-1 win against Czechoslovakia during the 1970 World Cup in Mexico.
Good work Pele...

Stock Summary

For all you investors, here is the current Major market summary as at yesterday.

Nuclear weapons overshadow human rights in North Korea.

Earlier this week, the UN Security Council condemned North Korea for test-firing a missile in December, but instead of repenting, It tightened its sanctions on the country, and in a belligerent response, North Korea vowed to keep developing its nuclear program.

Also, concerning persecution of Christians, Topping the Open Doors World Watch List for 11 years in a row, North Korea is the worst oppressor of Christians in the world. Leader Kim Jong-un isn't changing anything.

Christians, we need to pray for our fellow brethren, asJust four days ago, Open Doors alerted the world to two deaths of North Korean believers at the hands of the government.

Of the 200,000 political prisoners in North Korea's death camps (commonly known as gulags), 40,000 to 70,000 are followers of Christ. Pray for their faith to be strengthened, and pray for the Kim regime.

nigerian student sentenced to death malaysia
Na wah oh.  There are some stuff you do that just doesnt pay. This young man has been sentenced to death because of drug trafficking. John Amaechi Eze, a 23 year old nigerian student was sentenced to death in Kuala, Lumpur, Malaysia just a few days ago even though he was caught two years before that.
But there are speculations that this boy is not even guilty, especially as there is a lot of Racial discrimination in Malaysia towards Nigerians. In that case, pray for him oh..

says De Drunk........

MTN came to Nigeria at a time  when nobody wanted to invest in Nigeria, at a time when Nigerians did not have phones. Even Zenith Bank refused to loan MTN cash to operate, UBA rejected MTN’s offer but today see the difference.                 At least we all know the story of the only civilian unelected President in Nigeria - Goodluck Jonathan. We know how the people said he was not going to be President; they even made him acting-President. Today the rest ishistory.

What about Cowbell? When they came to Nigeria, they made milk in a sachet, Peak was laughing at them - they said Cowbell was milk for the poor - but they were right! 3-million poor people could afford N10 a day for a sachet of milk. Oya, do the math - 3million people buying milk at N10.00- that was N30million every single day. In a month they grossed N900million (almost N1billion). Even Peak had to make sachet milk in order to survive in the market.

So what have people told you? What have they said you cannot do, or you do not qualify for,or you do not have experience for? They told Cowbell, they told Goodluck, they told MTN, but today the story has changed. I have a feeling something is
changing for you today! They will change their strategies just to keep in step with you. Don’t listen to what people are saying or what life is showing you… YES, YOU CAN. Success is not about where you graduated from, or what grade you graduated with, but what graduates out of you.
Keep the spirit UP..

You dont have to read this, but try...

A Muslim man in Egypt killed his
wife because she was reading the
Bible and then buried her with
their infant baby and an 8-year
old daughter. The girls were
buried alive! He then reported to
the police that an uncle killed the
kids. 15 days later, another family
member died. When they went to
bury him, they found the 2 little
girls under the sand -ALIVE! The
country is outraged over the
incident, and the man will be
executed.. The older girl was
asked how she had survived and
she says:-'A man wearing shiny
white clothes, with bleeding
wounds in his hands, came every
day to feed us. He woke up my
mom so she could nurse my
sister,' she said. She was
interviewed on Egyptian national
TV, by availed Muslim woman
news anchor. She said on public
TV, 'This was none other than
Jesus, because nobody else does
things like this!' Muslims believe
Isa (Jesus) would do this, but the
wounds mean He really was
crucified, and it's clear also that
He is alive! But, it's also clear that
the child could not make up a
story like this, and there is no way
these children could have survived
without a true miracle. Muslim
leaders are going to have a hard
time to figure out what to do with
this, and the popularity of the
Passion movie doesn't help! With
Egypt at the centre of the media
and education in the Middle East ,
you can be sure this story will
spread. Christ is still turning the
world upside down! Please let this
story be shared. The Lord says, 'I
will bless the person who puts his
trust in me.' Jeremiah 17 Please
forward to all on your list and God
will reward you abundantly!! Mark
8:38 which says, 'Therefore
whosoever shall be ashamed of
Me and my Words in this
adulterous and sinful generation,
the Son of Man shall also be
ashamed of him when He comes
in the glory of His Father with the
holy angels'.

So.... I finally did the blog thing.
Yeah.
Anyway, since I have nothing really important to tell you right now, I'll just tell you about my day.
I woke up this morning feeling really excited, you know... just like how you feel when champagne bubbles pop at the edge of your nose while trying to drink it. And now, I still feel that way.
Not even the hectic classes since morning, or the project defense in my mechanical engineering course, or the fact that I am hungry (especially that) can take that feeling away.
Anyway, be expecting to see more posts real soon.
MOOD: excited. :-)
