The Concept of a Mediator

Who is a mediator? A mediator is someone who works with both sides in a dispute in attempt to help them to reach an agreement. Between God and man, there is only one mediator.
      1Ti 2:5  For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus;
It is stamped and confirmed that there is only one mediator between God and man; Jesus Christ.
So I send out a warning to all brethren, especially those in areas of influence: pastors, bishops, evangelists etc.Never attempt to put yourself in the position Jesus Christ occupies as mediator. He will never give the position of his glory to another man:
      Isa 42:8  I am the LORD: that is my name: and my glory will I not give to another, neither my praise to graven images.
Pastors especially, be very careful when you deal with God's children, and do not attempt in any way to place yourself as a channel or link between then and God. He will not take it lightly. A lot of preachers are now following the trend of preaching that a christian believer cannot achieve anything unless under the covering of the pastor or preacher; that they cannot properly access God unless through a pastor. [I dare you to give me three [or even two] bible verses that support it if you preach it]
    Mat 18:16  But if he will not hear thee, then take with thee one or two more, that in the mouth of two or three witnesses every word may be established.
    Deu 19:15  One witness shall not rise up against a man for any iniquity, or for any sin, in any sin that he sinneth: at the mouth of two witnesses, or at the mouth of three witnesses, shall the matter be established.
This is a warning sent out of love, because I do not want my fellow brethren in the Lord to be judged, neither do I want myself to be judged because if God tells me something, I just have to say it.
     Eze 3:17  Son of man, I have made you a watchman for the children of Israel: so give ear to the word of my mouth, and  give them word from me of their danger.
     Eze 3:18  When I say to the evil-doer, Death will certainly be your fate; and you give him no word of it and say nothing    to make clear to the evil-doer the danger of his evil way, so that he may be safe; that same evil man will come to death in his evil-doing; but I will make you responsible for his blood.
     Eze 3:19  But if you give the evil-doer word of his danger, and he is not turned from his sin or from his evil way, death    will overtake him in his evil-doing; but your life will be safe.
     Eze 3:20  Again, when an upright man, turning away from his righteousness, does evil, and I put a cause of falling in his way, death will overtake him: because you have given him no word of his danger, death will overtake him in his evil-doing, and there will be no memory of the upright acts which he has done; but I will make you responsible for his blood.
     Eze 3:21  But if you say to the upright man that he is not to do evil, he will certainly keep his life because he took note of your word; and your life will be safe.
Jesus Christ did not come to suffer, die and tear up the veil which separates us from God for some people to take needle and thread and start sewing it up again. Jesus is our only mediator and our only priest.
    Heb 6:20  Whither the forerunner is for us entered, even Jesus, made an high priest for ever after the order of Melchisedec.
    Heb 4:14  Seeing then that we have a great high priest, that is passed into the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our profession.
As a preacher, encourage believers to reach out to God themselves. DO NOT place yourself between them and God. A usurper isnt taken lightly. Don’t even try to place yourself between them and Jesus. There can only be, and is only one mediator.

Build up your life on the words of God, and pray always for believers, and the coming of Christ. Shalom upon you, and have a great day.
